Great evil stuff, could be unearthed demo's from some obscure mid-eighties band from either side of the Atlantic but the paradox is an obscure band from that time could have never achieved such a level of tightness and production values ;-) These evil nasties perfectly straddle that divide between 'ancient and pure' on one side and 'crafty and listenable' on the other. Whatever way you look at it, it's stuff that makes you max your amp and bang your head in praise of timeless anti-cosmic forces Stijn Van Hees

The band pays tribute to old-school black metal without becoming a cliché. Their music is exactly what I want when I want to listen to straight-up Second Wave black metal. The riffs were memorable and weren’t diluted by too-long run times; the drums were resonant and powerful without being overpowering, and the songwriting was excellent overall.
Finland black metal band att the finest.

Harsh, dissonant, frightening and even a little bit unnerving. All this can be said about Void Masquerading as Matter - but it is also complex, immersive (if you are not repelled), fascinating and rousing (in the sense of: dragging you into the abyss). How ever you describe the music of Thantifaxath for yourself it's clear what this music is not: conventional and boring. Go ahead, dare to make the trip. The reward is there. mourner

Degial dole out another slab of swift and murderous death metal. These Swedes are out for blood with this one. So forget about the new Morbid Angel album too. Pick this up instead. Choco Latte

I'm not that much into Doom, but i listen from time to time. I have this one favourite band, Descend into Despair and ever since I found them, I searched for another band with their sound. Looks like I finally found it, in the form of Rotting Kingdom! LE: Meanwhile I got into Funeral Doom and I got this album to thank too! Gabriel Tamas
